Forgiveness
Your eyes could change the color on a leaf,
Two angry crystals filled with pointed blame;
Your furrowed brows give warning of the same,
You’re ready to attack with no relief.
I see you are upset and full of grief,
But please just calm your tongue, yes, keep it tame.
It's time we put a stop to this blame game.
I'll tell my side, explain and make it brief.
My jealous heart held pain and much despair
When with that man I saw you yesterday;
I wept as much as my sad heart could bear.
I thought revenge would do. What can I say?
I judged too quickly when I saw you there.
Allow me one more chance, please, if I may.
