Acrostic Angel
An angel you are and always will be to me.
Beauty far beyond what earthly words can describe.
Captivating all things, even the deep blue sea.
Dew drops form and wait for your sweet step to arrive.
Early ev’ry morn, the sun rises to see you.
Flowers have but one hope: to be placed in your hair.
Gusts of wind long to caress your cheek. O’ it’s true,
Have you not noticed how ev’rything ev’rywhere
Is only itching to be graced by your smile?
Just one look from you can shred or repair a man’s heart,
Knifing into his false exterior while
Laying waste his craz’d thoughts and tearing them apart.
My soul thanks thee for the splendor you let me see.
An angel you are and always will be to me.

None can count all the ways that I’ve found to love you.
O’ one may try, but my reasons are far too wide.
Polyphonic fugues I’d write, have notes far too few.
Questers would return empty-handed; broken pride.
Reality sets in: you came straight from heaven.
Sweetly residing amongst us worms, you grace us.
The magnificence of you; seven times seven.
Unraveling the world with you, God has blessed us.
Very easily have I found your divine form.
What word best describes you but that of ‘perfection’?
Extraordinarily, you rise above the norm,
You are special; the moon shines in your direction.
Zero falsities I’ve told you from A to Z.
An angel you are and always will be to me.
